James is now giving primary school children the unique opportunity to work with him to create their very own Albert Mouse story.
Not only that, but James Hywel Books will publish the story into a real book that will be part of the actual Adventures of Albert Mouse series.

Once the book is published, James Hywel Books can supply copies at cost. You are then able to sell these to parents and family at any amount as long as it is not above the RRP of £5.45
Any profit is then for the school to keep and use how they wish.

"Albert’s intriguing Salcombe adventure"
We are delighted to announce that the pupils of Salcombe Primary School have finished their book.
Albert's Intriguing Salcombe Adventure has become Book 9 of The Adventures of Albert Mouse series.
Progress of this book
26.02.23 - The pupils of Salcombe Church of England Primary School have been extremely busy.
After a walk around Salcombe where they visited local shops and even the Lifeboat Station the pupils then got hard at work writing their story ideas.
16.03.23 - We have now received a collection of amazing stories from the Head Teacher and these have now been put into our magic 'book-writing' machine. It has been calculated that the pupils of Salcombe Primary wrote nearly 900 words, which we think is amazing! So well done everyone.
18.04.23 - James has now finished developing the story written by the pupils. The story now contains 12,845 words and is now awaiting approval from the Head Teacher.
21.04.23 - The manuscript has now gone to the editors.
28.04.23 - The editors have now finished.
02.05.23 - Mr Henry Everitt (Head of School) has just approved the manuscript.
03.05.23 - Albert Mouse has officially pressed the BIG RED button on the printing machine and the book is now on its way!
Well done to all the pupils at Salcombe School - you've done a terrific job! Congratulations.
24.05.23 - The pupils are now signing the fa-mouse deck chair which will be auctioned off for charity.

09.03.23 - The pupils of Hallfield had several book titles that were all good, but after a vote, they chose this one. We know they are all excited and working hard on their story.
We will keep you updated as news comes in.
20.04.23 - The news just in is that the pupils of Hallfield School have almost finished creating their Albert story. We found out today that they have written almost 5,000 words, which is astonishing! Illustrations are now well underway and everything should be arriving at JHB HQ very soon.
24.05.23 - We hope you are sitting down because we have some incredible news on this book. First of all the artwork for the book cover has now been chosen and we think you'll agree it looks tremendous! We've also been told that the pupils were not satisfied with a mere 5,000 words and have now written over 10,000 words! Everyone here is speechless and we are thinking of offering the pupils a job at James Hywel Books.
30.05.23 - The manuscript for Albert's Royal Adventure has just arrived at James Hywel Books HQ. We can now officially announce that the pupils of Hallfield School wrote a staggering 12,035 words! We really are lost for words.
31.05.23 - James is now in his writing cupboard adding his magic to the book.
02.06.23 - James has completed adding his magic to the book and he is now waiting for Albert Mouse to give his seal of approval.
05.06.23 - The book has been edited and passed over to Albert.
Albert's Royal Adventure breaks records
- This is the first book by James Hywel Books to feature Dyslexia-Friendly Font.
- It is the first Albert Mouse book to have page numbers.
- It was the first Albert Mouse book to contain colour illustrations in the Special Edition version.
Albert's review of this story
At first, Albert was a bit worried when he heard Mickey Mustard had escaped from prison and was heading to London to steal the King's Coronation Crown. But he was confident that he would catch the notorious villain and save the crown.
He said he'd give the pupils five stars for this great story and commended them on writing so many words.

"Albert visits the theme park"
This brilliant title was chosen by Reception Class.
We have to say that Albert has never been to a theme park so he is very excited.
This book will be Book Eleven of The Adventures of Albert Mouse series.
Progress of this book
03.03.23 - Now that they have chosen a title, each class will now contribute to the writing of the story.
The second stage will be the creation of illustrations by the pupils in all years.
The children are also going to be designing the book cover, which is very exciting.
Once the whole story has been completed, a FULL Albert book will be published to stand alongside the others in the series.
