"That's quite a story," said her mother. "It's not a story, it's true!" said Josie.
James Hywel rarely does ‘Meet the Author & Book Signing’ events. He prefers to hide away, allowing his books to speak to the readers instead. Because of this, his events are a very unique opportunity that are not to be missed.
If you come along to any James Hywel event, remember to wear odd socks. The first child to say "James, I'm wearing odd socks" wins a FREE signed book.
Let's all be proud to be different!
The Live Literature School Residencies programme gives schools the chance to work with James as an author-in-residence.
As part of his giving back wish, James is now giving primary school children the unique opportunity to create their own Albert Mouse story. Not only that, but James will take the story and produce a real book that will form part of the Adventures of Albert Mouse series.
This very special experience will allow pupils to follow every aspect of the book-writing process, from them creating a book title, right through to the pupils seeing their book published on Amazon.
They will see how easy writing is, and maybe some pupils will be inspired to become authors when they leave school.
Albert Mouse Esq. helps children and young people benefit from bespoke educational programmes that support their development, helping them to navigate their thoughts and feelings, and appreciate their time in and out of school. Thus, supporting positive relationships and challenging negative behaviour.
Albert is excited to be visiting schools with his friend Sarah to talk to children who are feeling anxious, nervous, upset, worried or confused.
Albert feels many of the same feelings as other children his age do.

So if you have ever wanted to write a story of your own, now is your chance to learn from the author who has written over twenty books.
James always has FREE items to give away and children will be invited to 'sign the chair'.
